Junior se juega la vida en Bogotá, enfrentando este sábado 14 de octubre al cuadro del Millonarios, desde las 8:20 pm.
Ambos conjuntos llegan con la necesidad de ingresar al top 8 de los mejores de la Liga Betplay, el Azul va de noveno con 22 puntos, mientras que el rojiblanco le pisa los talones, pues se ubica de décimo con 21 unidades.
Ausentes y lesionados.

El cuadro capitalino no tendrá la presencia por las por varias bajas que tiene en su once titular, varias de ellas por convocatorias al equipo Tricolor que juega el próximo martes frente a Ecuador, a partir de las 6:30 pm
Precisamente Álvaro Montero y Leonardo Castro no están disponibles por el llamado de Néstor Lorenzo para las Eliminatorias, mientras que Daniel Ruiz se encuentra concentrando con la Sub-23 de Héctor Cárdenas.
Los que están entre algodones son : Daniel Cataño, quien sufrió una “tendinosis del aductor derecho”, se suma a la lista médica que conforman Omar Bertel, Jader Valencia, Elvis Perlaza y Fernando Uribe.
Así las cosas, el entrenador Alberto Gamero tendrá que presentar una nómina con variantes en diferentes zonas del campo: Juanito Moreno en portería, Jorge Arias por sector izquierdo, Edgar Guerra y Luis Paredes/Beckham Castro por las bandas y Juan Carvajal en punta.

el estratega Reyes va por 3 puntos de oro.Entre su lista de viajeros, el entrenador Arturo Reyes no incluyó a Santiago Mele por su convocatoria a la selección uruguaya (fue titular en el empate ante Colombia) ni el lesionado José Enamorado, principal baja en sector ofensivo. A ellos se suman Gabriel Fuentes (también con problemas físicos) y Fabián Ángel junto Brayan Ceballos, ambos citados por Cárdenas a la Sub-23.
Respecto a las novedades, Jefferson Martínez, con previo paso por Millonarios, ocupará el lugar de Mele en el arco y Emanuel Olivera podrá jugar en la zaga central a pesar de haber sido expulsado la jornada anterior (tanto Ángel como Ceballos lo habilitan). Asimismo se mantiene en convocatoria Fredy Hinestroza.
Resultados:
El último encuentro entre ambas escuadras, fue en abril del año presente con victoria por la mínima de junior en el Metropolitano con gol del hoy delantero del Cali, Luis Sandoval.
Además hay que decir que la última felicidad del Junior en El Campín, fue el 6 de agosto del 2017, cuando se impuso por 1-2 con goles de Jéfferson Gómez y Yimmi Chará.
